Get your data ready before you invest in AI

The fastest way to a disappointing AI project is to point it at messy, scattered data. Foundations first.

AI is only as good as the information you feed it. We meet a lot of teams who are eager to build something clever, sitting on data that is spread across systems, labelled inconsistently, and trusted by no one.

Find out what you actually have

Before any model, we map where the important data lives, who owns it, and how reliable it is. This step is rarely glamorous and almost always surprising. It tells you which AI ideas are achievable now and which need groundwork first.

Fix the few things that matter

You do not need perfect data everywhere. You need clean, well understood data for the specific job you want AI to do. Narrowing the scope keeps the work small and the payoff clear.

Once that foundation is in place, the AI work on top of it goes faster and the results hold up. Teams that skip this step usually end up doing it later, after a failed pilot has made everyone nervous.
